About
I’m a journalist and documentary filmmaker based in New York City and currently a producer at Multitude Films. Prior to Multitude, I was a producer/director on the first season of The New York Times series, “The Weekly”, on FX and Hulu and spent 8 years on Al Jazeera’s award-winning show, “Fault Lines”.
I’ve produced and directed almost two dozens films on topics that cover structural racism, policing, immigrant justice, schools, reproductive justice, surveillance and technology all around the U.S. and different parts of the world. I’ve done a combination of quick-turnaround breaking news pieces, long-form investigative documentaries and highly-stylized think piece films.
I have a masters degree from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism as well as undergraduate degrees in film and business from the University of Texas at Austin.
Also, about me: I hail from Austin, Texas and Gujarat, India (via my parents). I’ve been known to make production schedules for non-work activities. I often reference Back To The Future movies.
